The Logan County Tourism Bureau is hiring! We're seeking an innovative and dedicated individual to create and steer tourism initiatives that continue to make our county an amazing place to live and visit. In this full-time executive director role, you will enjoy a creative work environment, flexible scheduling, and the opportunity to work closely with public officials, businesses, and individuals throughout the county who are as passionate about Logan County as you are. 

 

SALARY: $38,000.00 to $45,000 annually
HOURS: Full Time – 35-40 hours per week, which includes:
• Additional weekends and nights during meetings or events

BENEFITS: Paid holidays, vacation, and personal days
Monthly stipend for insurance

JOB SUMMARY:
Manage and oversee the daily affairs of the Logan County Tourism Bureau. The Executive Director works under the direction of the Logan County Tourism Bureau Board to preserve history and promote awareness of all that Logan County has to offer.


MARKETING ROLES:
• Overseeing and organizing the advertising budget to comply with the State Tourism Grant guidelines.
• Responsible for continually updating the Logan County Tourism websites.
• Responsible for organizing and creating a regular social media content calendar.
• Responsible for creating creative social media content at least 3x a week on Facebook and Instagram
and promoting County events.
• Responsible for preparing and/or updating brochure designs.
• Responsible for creating ads/posters for publications.
• Responsible for distributing Logan County Tourism brochures to Lincoln/ Logan County communities.
• Communicate with design and marketing agencies to implement quarterly Digital Marketing plans,
print ads, and billboards.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the Board


ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Create, develop, and implement common marketing goals for Logan County to advance further and
promote tourism visits and overnight stays for Logan County sites and events.
• Lead strategic planning efforts and enable a vision for the continued future advancement of Logan County
tourism.
• General office administration.
• Financial management, including accurate record keeping and accounting,
• Seeking new grants, grant writing, management, and reporting in keeping with grant guidelines.
• Overseeing all tourism artifacts and property.
• Attend all required meetings, events, and various public functions, and represent the Logan County
Tourism Bureau in a positive and professional manner.
• Other duties as assigned by the board.


REQUIRED EDUCATION AND SKILLS:
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Basic computer skills with an emphasis on industry-standard Creative tools.
• Adept use of Social Media tools.
• Good organizational skills with attention to detail.
• Strong interpersonal and supervisory skills.
• Punctual and able to work irregular hours.
• Ability to negotiate, organize, delegate, and work under pressure.


PREFERRED EDUCATION AND SKILLS:
• Experience in marketing, hospitality, or in the tourism industry.
• Grant writing experience.
• Familiarity with Logan County Tourism opportunities and historical sites.
• Well-versed in digital marketing and new trends in tourism.


PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
• Be able to lift and carry at least 30 pounds.
• Be able to stand for long periods of time.
• Be able to work outdoors for long periods of time.

WORK ENVIRONMENT:
• There is a possibility for a hybrid work environment, with a combination of in-office work several days a
week and remote other days of the week. This will be under the Board's approval and direction.
